Scout Cities
About Scout Scout helps early stage manufacturers find the best places to build; where energy is available, infrastructure is ready, and supply chains and talent align. We work with companies scaling clean technologies, reshoring advanced manufacturing, and building innovative factories across North America. Our software makes industrial site selection faster, smarter, and more transparent. Teams use Scout to compare locations, model tradeoffs, navigate permitting, and line up critical infrastructure like power and wastewater. What used to take months now takes days. We move fast, document everything, and obsess over helping real-world builders get real-world results. Scout is profitable, growing, and backed by customers building North America’s next generation of industry. Our next offsite might be a factory tour. You in? What You’ll Do We are looking for a high-agency and analytically minded Industrial Operations Partner to help our customers succeed as they plan and execute major industrial expansion projects. This is not your typical account management role; you will partner with operators behind EV battery plants, hydrogen hubs, semiconductor fabs, and next-generation fusion facilities. Guiding them through site tradeoffs, infrastructure constraints, and the realities of expansion. Your job is to ensure these customers get outcomes. You will use our software and data to help them navigate complex decisions around power, permitting, and site readiness, while becoming a trusted advisor on where and how they should deploy generational products. You will work hand-in-hand with our founders and early team to manage projects deploying anywhere from $20M–$2.5B+ in capex. About You 3+ years of experience managing strategic customers, complex projects, or capital-intensive accounts with high expectations. You might have a background in consulting, operations, real estate, site selection, or infrastructure. Maybe you just learn fast by doing. You think like a principal. You see problems not tasks, and you take responsibility for outcomes. You are deeply curious and love figuring out how things work: energy, industry, supply chains, infrastructure, and people. You are customer-obsessed. You don’t just want to support our customers, you want to help them dominate. You embrace uncertainty and break rules to make progress: Rewired processes, sidestepped bureaucracy, or created your own workarounds. You write clearly and think clearly. You believe that America can and must do better What is cool about this role You’ll be on the frontlines of American industrial expansion, helping generational companies that build things move faster and smarter. You will work directly with the founders and strategic customers building real world products and deploying real-world capital. We’re early, profitable, and growing. This means plenty of headroom for ownership, career growth, and real impact. Competitive pay and meaningful equity (you’ll be one of our first 10 employees). We’re remote and meet up several times a year. Low-meeting, high-output culture. Smart people, very high standards, momentum.
