About the role

SideShift is a rapidly growing UGC creator marketplace and SaaS platform. We connect student creators with brands and employers for paid content campaigns, job postings, and “Super Creator” programs. We’ve scaled quickly to hundreds of thousands of users, a top 50 App Store ranking, and fast-growing revenue—all while keeping a small, scrappy team that ships at high velocity. What You’ll Do • Build and maintain SideShift’s core web platform using Next.js, TypeScript, and React. • Architect and scale backend systems on Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Storage). • Implement new features across dashboards, payments, campaigns, and chat. • Collaborate with design and product to deliver polished, fast, and reliable user experiences. • Optimize performance, security, and scalability for thousands of daily users. • Contribute to technical strategy and product decisions at a company-wide level. What We’re Looking For • 1+ year of professional full-stack development experience. • Proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js/React, Node.js, and modern web architecture. • Hands-on experience with Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Storage) or similar backend platforms. • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP, Vercel, or AWS). • Strong product sense—you think about the “why” behind the code. • Bias toward shipping quickly, iterating, and owning outcomes. • Bonus: Experience with Stripe Connect, real-time chat, or growth-stage startups.
