About the role

We're seeking a principled technical specialist to join our automation consultancy with a dual focus: developing our internal tools and platforms and implementing business automation solutions for clients. This role combines software development with hands-on automation deployment, working directly under the CTO in an environment that values ethical practices, honest communication, and doing right by our clients. Key Responsibilities Client Implementation Work (50%) • Configure and deploy business automation platforms and workflows • Implement integrations between CRM systems, marketing platforms, and data sources • Set up tracking, attribution, and conversion measurement systems • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize campaign performance • Create and maintain technical documentation for client handoffs Software Development (50%) • Develop internal tools and automation platforms using TypeScript/JavaScript and Python • Build APIs and integrations for our automation stack • Create client-facing dashboards and reporting interfaces • Contribute to our proprietary automation framework development • Collaborate with AI tools for accelerated development and problem-solving • Collaborate on architecture decisions and code reviews with CTO • Learn and apply modern development practices and methodologies Required Skills & Experience • 0-5 years technical experience (development, technical operations, or systems implementation) • Programming experience in at least one language (JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, etc.) • Strong data manipulation and reporting skills • Experience with technical troubleshooting • Understanding of HTML/CSS and web technologies • Comfortable learning new platforms and technologies quickly Preferred Technical Skills • TypeScript/JavaScript development experience • Python experience for automation and data processing • Experience with business technology or CRM platforms • Experience with data visualization tools • Git version control and collaborative development practices Ideal Candidate Profile • Strong technical foundation with eagerness to learn new technologies • Uncompromising integrity - believes in doing the right thing even when no one is watching • Service-oriented mindset - takes pride in delivering work that genuinely helps clients succeed • Honest communicator - comfortable admitting mistakes and asking for help when needed • Collaborative team player - believes in lifting others up and sharing knowledge freely • Interest in both client-facing implementation work and internal development • Continuous learner - enjoys mastering new programming languages and frameworks • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and debugging skills • Reliable and accountable - follows through on commitments and takes ownership of results What We Offer • Competitive salary: $70,000 - $85,000 based on experience • Equity participation in growing automation consultancy • Direct technical mentorship and pair programming with CTO • Opportunity to learn business automation platforms from expert guidance • Modern development stack and collaborative coding environment with AI assistance • Small team environment with significant individual impact and voice • Mission-driven work - helping businesses operate more efficiently and ethically • Transparent communication - no corporate politics or hidden agendas • Work-life balance - sustainable pace that respects personal time and commitments
