About the role

This key leadership role will not only oversee the City’s Public Works functions but will also collaborate closely with Community Development, Engineering, and the City Manager’s Office to ensure sound, infrastructure-focused decision-making that drives Alvarado forward. The Director of Public Services will guide operations that directly impact the quality of life in our community, including water and wastewater systems, streets, drainage, and more. As a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader, the ideal candidate will balance the demands of daily operations with big-picture planning in a rapidly growing city.
